The following points of New Civil Aviation Policy 2016 will bring a bright future to the Aviation sector in India.

The government has scrapped the controversial 5/20 norm and now any domestic airline can fly overseas provided they deploy 20 planes or 20 percent of their total capacity for domestic operations also bring Udaan Yojna.

 

India’s Cabinet sanctioned new funding norms. Now VGF(Viability Gap Funding) to be shared between the Ministry of Civil Aviation and State Governments in the ratio of 80:20. For the North-Eastern States, the ratio is 90:10.

 

There will be no airport charges. Reduced Service tax on tickets for 1 year initially, Reduced Excise duty at 2% on ATF picked at RCS airports. The state government will provide police and fire services free of cost. Power, water, and other utilities at concessional rates.

 

Aeronautical/ Aerospace Engineering is the science, which is involved with the design, maintenance, and manufacturing Of passenger planes, helicopters spacecraft, satellites, missiles & rockets, and their components.

The various courses are offered by reputed institutes. Through AIEEE, JEE Mains, you can get admission Aeronautical/ Aerospace Engineering at IITs, NITs & Govt. Colleges.

Some private colleges are also offering various Technical courses in Aeronautical Engineering. These colleges are beneficial to students, who can’t get admission in Govt. college & but able to pay the cost of Private college fee.

 

A. Course Available under Graduate Level

BTech in Aeronautical Engineering.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering-03 (Three) year course.

 

Mechanical stream (Aeroplane and Powerplants):- comprising of Light Aeroplane (LA), Heavy Aeroplane (HA), Piston Engine (PE), Jet Engine (JE) Mechanical stream trains students to obtain an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s license with respect to maintaining an aircraft’s Airframe and Engines.

 

Avionics stream:– comprising of Electrical System (ES), Instrument System (IS), and Radio Navigation System (RN). The Avionics stream trains students to obtain an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s license with respect to maintaining an aircraft’s Electrical System, Instrument System and Radio Navigation System.

 

AME with B. Tech Aeronautical (Spl. In Maintenance)- 4 Year Course.

III. AIRCRAFT TECHNICIAN in Air India

ELIGIBILITY:- 1. AME Diploma/Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering from Institutions approved by DGCA under Rule 133B with 60% marks/equivalent grade.

2. Diploma in Engineering (3Years) in Mechanical or Electrical or instrumentation or Electronics and Telecommunication or Radio Engineering recognized by Central or State Government with 60% marks

AGE LIMIT(In years):-Upper limit 28 for General,31 for OBC & 35 for SC/ST.

GRADUATE ENGINEER TRAINEE( Engineering Support Services ) in Air India

ELIGIBILITY:- BE or BTech Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical or Electrical! Electronics or Telecommunications or Instrumentation or Electronics & Communication or Industrial or Production or Chemical Engineering or its equivalent from a Govt. recognized Institute or University and with a valid GATE score of 80% and higher
