GR – B & C GOVT. JOBS THROUGH CENTRAL & STATE SSC

Here I have tried to explain various types of Group B & C jobs in Govt. Sectors. The main recruitment agency for such jobs is 1. SSC of Central Govt. & 2. SSCs of State Govt.

Most of the state has its own Staff Selection Commission. It takes exams for various posts concerned with state operations.

 

I.LIST OF EXAMS THROUGH CENTRAL SSC

1. COMBINED GRADUATE LEVEL EXAM:-

The basic qualification for this exam is graduation in any subject from recognised university. Approx 44 type posts recruitment has been done though this exam. Name & department has mentioned in this link.

The selection process is 1. Tier I Exam -Objective Type ( CBT Type), 2. Tier-II Exam- Objective Exam ( CBT Type), 3. Tier III – Subjective Type (Pen &Paper Type).Tentative Syllabus of this exam mentioned in following link.

 

2. COMBINED HIGHER SECONDARY LEVEL(10+2) EXAM:-

Basic educational qualification is Higher Secondary Level(10+2) from any recognised Council. The selection process is 1. Tier I Exam -Objective Type ( CBT Type), 2. Tier II – Subjective Type (Pen & Paper Type), 3.Tier-III (Skill Test/ Typing Test).

Posts are 1. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA),2. Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA),3. Data Entry Operator (DEO),4. Data Entry Operator.

 

3. STENOGRAPHER GRADE‘C’ & ‘D’ EXAM:-

The basic qualification for this exam is Higher Secondary Level(10+2) from any recognised Council. The selection process is 1. Tier I Exam -Objective Type ( CBT Type) and Skill Test/ Typing Test.

Posts are Stenographer Grade ‘C’ (Group ‘B’, NonGazetted) and Stenographer Grade ‘D’& (Group ‘C’).

 

4. JUNIOR ENGINEER EXAM:-

The basic qualification for this exam is Diploma in Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institution.

The selection process is the exam of two papers i.e. Paper-I (Computer Based Examination) and Paper-II (Descriptive Type).

Posting will be in various department of Central Govt. in level-6 & Group-B category.Helpful book for exam

 

5. SI in DELHI POLICE, CAPFS & ASI in CISF EXAM:-

The basic qualification is Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent. The selection process is the examination of Paper-I, Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper-II and Detailed Medical Examination (DME).

 

 

6. TRANSLATORS & HINDI PRADHYAPAK EXAM:-

Basic Qualification is 1. Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level & similar type degree

and 2. Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.

Eligibility for Senior Hindi Translator & Hindi Pradhyapak are different. Following posts are available in category.

Junior Translator in Central Secretariat Official Language Service
(CSOLS) in Level-6,

Junior Translator in M/o Railways in Level-6,

Junior Translator in Armed Forces Headquarters (AFHQ) in Level-6,

Junior Translator (JT)/
Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) in subordinate offices in Level-6,

Senior Hindi Translator in various Central Government Ministries/ Departments/ Offices in
Level-7,

Hindi Pradhyapak in Central Hindi Training Institute (CHTI) in Level-8.

 

II.LIST OF EXAMS THROUGH STATE SSC

Almost every state has its own Staff Selection Commission. Each State SSC publishes various notifications for jobs under particular state. So it is not comfortable to give information about published vacancies from each state SSC in single post. For example i have just added website details of very few State SSC such as 1. Oddisa SSC (http://ossc.gov.in/), 2. Rajastan SSC (https://rsmssb.rajasthan.gov.in/), 3.Bihar SSC (http://www.bssc.bih.nic.in/) etc.
