1. GRADUATE TECHNICAL ENTRIES IN THE INDIAN ARMY

Following Technical jobs are available to get entry in Indian ARMY for Engineers. There is a vacancy for Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Chemical, Computer science, Information Technology etc. The entrance pattern is written exam, Group Discussion & Personel Interview.

 

I. UNIVERSITY ENTRY SCHEME

1. Qualification is Pre Final year students of Notified Engineering Streams,

2. Age Limit-18 to 24 years,

3. Marital Status:-Un Married,

5. Notified by Directorate General Recruiting / AG Branch in Jun/July,

6. Likely SSB Date:-Nov to Feb of every year,

7. Date Commencement of Training:-July of every year,

8. Training Academy:-IMA Dehradun,

09. Duration of Training:- One Year,

10. Vacancies Per Course:- Approx 60 for MEN (Once a Year).

 

II. TGC (ENGINEERS)

1. Qualification is BE / B Tech in notified streams of Engineering,

2. Age Limit-20 to 27 years,

3. Marital Status:-Un Married,

5. Notified by Directorate General Recruiting / AG Branch in Mar/Apr and Sep/Oct,

8. Training Academy:-IMA, Dehradun,

9. Duration of Training:- One Year,

10. Vacancies Per Course:- Approx 60 for MEN (Once a Year).

 

 

III. SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION TECH (MEN & WOMEN)

1. Qualification is BE / B Tech in notified streams of Engineering,

2. Age Limit-20 to 27 years,

3. Marital Status:-Un Married,

5. Notified by Directorate General Recruiting / AG Branch in Jun / Jul and Dec/Jan,

6. Likely SSB Date:-Dec-Jan and Jun-Jul of every year,

7.Date Commencement of Training:-Apr and Oct of every year,

8. Training Academy:-OTA, Chennai,

9. Duration of Training:- 49 Weeks,

10. Vacancies Per Course:- Approx 100 for MEN & 20 for WOMEN. (Twice a year).

I. Tenure of Short Service Commission is 14 years i.e. for an initial period of 10 years, extendable by four years.

II. Substantive Promotion: SSCOs will be eligible for the substantive promotion.

  • To the rank of Capt – on completion of two years reckonable commissioned service.
  • To the rank of Maj – on completion of six years reckonable commissioned service.
  • To the rank of Lt Col – on completion of 13 years reckonable commissioned service.

 

2. GRADUATE TECHNICAL ENTRIES IN INDIAN AIR FORCE

Following Ground Duty, Technical jobs are available in Indian AIRFORCE for Engineers. The entry Exam is AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test). Jobs are available for both Men and Women. Permanent Commission (for men) / Short Service Commission (For men and women). The entrance pattern is written exam, Group Discussion & Personel Interview.

I. ENTRY SCHEME THROUGH AFCAT

1. Qualification is final year Engineering students of Notified Engineering Streams,

2. Age Limit-20 to 26 years,

3. Marital Status:-Un Married Candidates below the age of 25 years should be unmarried,

4. Must have scored a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in any one of the listed disciplines,

5. Notified by June and December.,

6. The test is conducted twice a year in February and August,

7. Date Commencement of Training:-July of every year,

8. Duration of Training:- 74 weeks,

09. Initial training of 22 weeks conducted at Air Force Academy,

10. 52 weeks of training of engineering Officers is conducted at Air Force Technical College (AFTC), Bengaluru.

PAY AND ALLOWANCE:-Even before you are Commissioned as an Air Force Officer you start earning a monthly stipend of Rs. 56,100/- during the last year of your training period at any of the Air Force Training Institutions. The following Pay / Allowances would be applicable on the grant of Commission to Flying Officers:-

Pay in Pay Band ( Common to all Branches ) – Rs 56,100 Per Month ( The officer will be placed in Level 10 in the Pay Matrix of VIIth CPC – 56,100-1,10,700)

Military Service Pay :- Rs 15,500 Per Month

Other allowances such as Transport Allowance, Children Education Allowance, HRA etc. are also admissible to Officers. In addition, the following allowances are admissible to the newly Commissioned Officers in Flying and Technical Branches.

3. GRADUATE TECHNICAL ENTRIES IN INDIAN NAVY

Following Ground Duty, Technical jobs are available in Indian AIRFORCE for Engineers. The eligible candidates will have to undergo the Naval Campus Selection process. The Candidates qualifying for the campus interview will be shortlisted for the SSB interview on the basis of his/her preference for the entry, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria for a particular entry. The total duration of the SSB interview is five days consisting of two stages. Stage I (day one) and Stage II (four days).

 

I. UNIVERSITY ENTRY SCHEME

1. Qualification is final year Engineering or integrated degree course students of Notified Engineering Streams,

2. Age Limit-23 to 26 years,

3. Marital Status:-Un Married,

4. Must have scored a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in any one of the listed disciplines,

5. Notified by June.,

6. Candidates shortlisted during campus interview will be called for SSB interview at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Coimbatore/ Visakhapatnam/Kolkata between Dec to Apr,

7. Date Commencement of Training:-tentatively scheduled to commence in Jun at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala., 8. Duration of Training:- 22 weeks,

09. 22 weeks in Naval Orientation Course at the INA, Ezhimala, followed by professional training in Naval Ships and Training Establishments,

10. In case of Executive (General Service) entry, the course duration of NOC at INA would be 44 weeks.

PROMOTIONS & PAY SCALE:- Promotion from Sub-Lieutenant to Commander is on a time scale basis subject to completion of mandatory courses, sea time, and medical conditions. The PayScale and promotion criteria are as follows:
