The central Government Plans such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna, Mudra Yojna, etc. have shifted the focus upon this sector.

To face competition from the private sector, Public Sector Banks like SBI, Bank of Baroda, etc. have also started diversifying their operations and try to transform as Universal banking to cover different banking functions.

So, Public Sector Banks have also started hiring specialist officers to handle these special Bank Jobs in the following fields:

Now they are recruiting specialist officers in banks. Public Sector Banks conduct specialist officer exams separately or through IBPS for the recruitment of officers.

Promotion Policy for Specialist Bank Officers

The Promotion Policy for Specialist Officers in Public Sector Banks is designed on the same lines as that of Generalist Officers. However, the below-mentioned special eligibility criteria generally adopted by PSU Banks & need to be fulfilled by the Specialist Officer.

 

Specialist Officers in PSU Banks need to complete at least 5 years of minimum mandatory service in the specialized cadre to be eligible to join a mainstream cadre

 

After joining the mainstream cadre, they need to gain two years of experience in field operations to be eligible for the promotion.

 

Specialist Bank Officers are exempted for a minimum mandatory service of 2 years in rural areas.

 

Once they complete the aforementioned conditions, specialist officers are allowed to join the mainstream cadre and are eligible for promotions per the eligibility and experience mentioned in the table above.

 

if an officer enters at Scale II, the minimum length of service for promotion from Scale-IV to Scale V will be 9 years instead of 12 years.

 

I. SELECTION PROCEDURE (VARIES BANK TO BANK)

Total questions are approximately 200 of 200 marks and total time 2 hours.

Reasoning – 50 Questions of 50 Marks.

English Language – 50 Questions of 50 Marks

Quantitative Aptitude -50 Questions of 50 Marks

Professional Knowledge (Relevant to the Post)-50 Questions of 50 Marks.

 

II. Specialist Officer job For Engineers & Law Graduate

 

1. Manager (Electrical Engineer) MMG Scale-II

Eligibility:-B.E./ B.Tech. Degree in Electrical Engineering from a University recognized by Govt. of India with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.

Age Limit:-25 to 35 years as on notification of job application.

Pay Scale:-Rs. 31705-45950 with D.A, H.R.A/Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical, and other allowances.

Reqd. Experience:-Minimum of 4 years in Electrical work in installation handling and maintenance of electrical equipment such as UPS, Generators, energy-saving devices, starters, motors, control panels, HT/LT, Switch gears in Government or Semi-Government Departments or Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Listed corporate or its subsidiaries or group companies.

 

2. Manager (Civil Engineer) MMG Scale-II

Eligibility:-B.E./ B.Tech. Degree in Civil Engineering from a University recognized by Govt. of India with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.

Age Limit:-25 to 35 years as on notification of job application.

Pay Scale:-Rs. 31705-45950 with D.A, H.R.A/Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical and other allowances.

Reqd. Experience:-Minimum 4 years in Construction or Maintenance of multistoried Commercial or Residential buildings in Government or Semi-Government Departments or Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Listed corporate or its subsidiaries or group companies.

 

3. Manager (Mechanical Engineer) MMG Scale-II

Eligibility:-B.E./ B.Tech. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a University recognized by Govt. of India with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.

Age Limit:-25 to 35 years as on notification of job application.

Pay Scale:-Rs. 31705-45950 with D.A, H.R.A/Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical, and other allowances.

Reqd. Experience:-Minimum 4 years in installation, handling, and maintenance of LIFTS or DG Set or Air-conditioning system including cabling and water pumps, etc in Government or Semi-Government Departments or Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Listed corporate or its subsidiaries or group companies.

 

4. Manager (Law) MMG Scale-II

Eligibility:-Graduate with a Degree in Law or Law Graduate who has passed 5 years Integrated Law Course from the university recognized by Govt. of India.

Must have enrolled as Advocate with Bar Council.

Age Limit:-25 to 35 years as on notification of job application.

Pay Scale:-Rs. 31705-45950 with D.A, H.R.A/Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical, and other allowances.

Reqd. Experience:-Minimum of 3 years of Active experience as a practicing advocate. OR

As Law Officer in the Legal Department of Scheduled Commercial Bank/ State or Central Govt./PSU.

 

III. Specialist Officer job as Manager (IT) MMG Scale-II

Reqd. Experience:- Minimum of 03 years experience in DBA profile, handling and maintaining databases as well as application servers, Oracle RAC, and production issues analysis and troubleshooting. Must also have experience in storage & Backup Technologies.

 

2. Manager (IT) (SQL Server– DBS or Application)

Reqd. Experience:- Minimum of 03 years experience in handling large SQL installations, developing and maintaining database objects on SQL server, and hands-on experience as Database Administrator specializing in SQL Server and Oracle.

 

3. Manager(IT-) Finacle Customization or Scripting)

Reqd. Experience:- Minimum of 03 years experience in customizing & scripting of Financial products and other Surround products for interface with Core Banking Application.

 

4. Manager(IT)- Information or Cyber Security or Forensic or Compliance of IT Audit

Reqd. Experience:- Minimum of 03 years experience in handling various Information Security related roles including IT Audit, Cyber Security, Cyber Forensics, identifying security risks and developing mitigation plans, Firewall & IPS Management.

 

5. Manager(IT)- Mobile Application

Reqd. Experience:- Minimum of 03 years experience in designing, developing, enhancing, debugging, and implementing mobile application software.

 

6. Manager(IT)- Networking

Reqd. Experience:-Minimum of 03 years experience in design, deployment, and maintenance of large technical networking projects; Voice or data infrastructure.

 

7. Manager (IT) Applications Development (Platforms-Java, dotnet, HTML, XML, UNIX, LINUX, windows, Biztalk)

Reqd. Experience:- Minimum of 03 years experience in software development design patterns & methodologies and relevant experience in Full stack web application development (ASP.NET, C#,MVC, jQuery, T-SQL, HTML, CSS).

Reqd. Experience:- Minimum of 03 years experience in design, scripting, and maintenance of Web Pages, websites, and web centric products. 9. Manager(IT)- Base 24 Switch-Coding or Testing/Management

Reqd. Experience:- Minimum of 03 years experience in Small Code development, testing and debugging applications, and managing ATM switch operations

 

10. Manager(IT)- Report Tools

Reqd. Experience:- Minimum of 03 years experience in using various reporting tools for MIS analysis and specialized reporting requirements.

 

11. Manager(IT)- Manager(IT)-Hardware

Reqd. Experience:-Minimum of 03 years experience in evaluation of technical developments and handling sizing and procurement of computer hardware including high-end servers for various needs of the organization.
