1. Reason of choice:- If you love technology or science, then appear at GATE. Otherwise, you should choose an MBA through CAT, MAT etc.

2. Professional Work Experience:- M.Tech. Can be done without any professional work experience. But in the case of an MBA, it is better to take admission in MBA after having a minimum of 3 years of professional work experience after B.Tech. degree.

3. Nature of Job: –After a Master of business administration degree (MBA), you become a generalist having a Technical background. It opens doors to banking, finance, consultancy, project works, and other managerial roles,

which may not be technology-driven. Master of Technology (M.Tech.) converts you as the specialist for academia, research & development, and technical fields.

4. Employment or Investment:-M.Tech. provides partial employment during your course at your college. If you take admission in IIT, NIT or Govt. Colleges through GATE, You will get the stipend Rs.12,400 per month.

But MBA is purely an investment-type academic degree. Admission through CAT, MAT or any reputed exam, you have to pay college charges & other expenditures on your own.

5. Availability of Job:-M.Tech. has limited job opportunities in PSU, Pvt & Govt. Companies. But MBA provides vast area & scope of jobs in any sector.

6. Conversion of Personality:-After M. Tech. you become a specialist & suitable for Research & Development Sector, Teaching sector job. MBA provides you with marketing skills. So you become the combo of Technical & Marketing skills.

7. Degree Benefits:-During job selection, M.Tech. provides you only age relaxation compare to B.Tech degree holder. But during the job, you get more chance of promotion than B.Tech. degree holder. After MBA you get more job options than B.Tech. degree holder.

8. Choice of Specialization:-There is a various specialization for M.Tech. courses. But in the current scenario, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Smart Building & Infrastructure Development Technology, Renewable energy are the hot sector for any specialization in these sectors.

For Engineering Graduates, Operation Management, Industrial Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance Management are better options than other specializations.
