Railway Jobs Through Sports Quota
i) Eligible Sports :
Ball Badminton, Wrestling (F/S), Hockey, Kabaddi, Diving (M), Cricket, Powerlifting, Shooting, Weightlifting, Kho-Kho, Handball, Table Tennis, Basketball, Athletics, Waterpolo, Football

ii) Type of Job Offered & Edu. :
a) Level 5/4 : Grade Pay Rs. 2800/2400- in Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200
Education Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.
b) Level 3/2 : Grade Pay Rs. 2000/1900- in Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200
Education Qualification: Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination. Educational Qualification must be from a Recognized Institution. OR Passed Matriculation from recognized Board plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship. OR Passed Matriculation from recognized Board plus ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT.
c) Level 1 : Grade Pay Rs. 1800 in Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200
Education Qualification: Passed 10th or its equivalent examination. OR ITI OR Equivalent OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT educational Qualification must be from a Recognized Institution.

Note:
(I) Persons if appointed to the category of Clerk-cum-Typist should acquire Typing proficiency Test of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi within a period of four years from the date of appointment and till such time their appointments to this category will be provisional.
(II) Candidates possessing higher qualification should produce relevant certificate at the time of trial.

iii) Selection Procedure
All eligible candidates will be called for trial and after trial, only the FIT candidates (securing 25 or more, out of 40 marks for Game skill, physical fitness and coach’s observations during trial) shall be assessed for the next stage of recruitment. Candidates declared NOT FIT by the Trial Committee will not be assessed further by the Recruitment committee.
a) The distribution of marks shall be as follows:

Note: The offer of appointment shall be given purely on the basis of merit. In case more than one sports persons score the same marks, preference will be given to younger candidate to decide the merit.

i) Eligible Cultural Activities :
There are two main categories 1. Classical Singer (Hindustani Vocal Music), 2. Vocal Music (Carnatic/Hindustani), Instrumental (Violin/Guitar/Flute/Veena/Harmonium (including key board)/Sitar/Sarod ).

These categories include Tabla Player, Light Music Singer (Female), Flutist, Bharatnatyam Dancer (Female), Female Singer, Female Dancer, Light VocaI VocaI(MaIe), Drama Artist, Organ (Key board) Player, etc.

ii) Type of Job Offered & Edu. :
c) Level 2 : Grade Pay Rs. 1800 in Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200
Essential Min. Prescribed Qualification
Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for NTPC categories.

Essential Professional Qualification
- Degree/Diploma – Certificate in any classical dance from a government-recognized institute
- Degree/Diploma – Certificate in Vocal music (Classical / Light) from Government recognized institute
- Degree/Diploma /Certificate in the relevant field of notified posts from a government-recognized institute.

Desirable Qualification:
(i) Experience in the field and performance given on All India Radio/Doordarshan etc.
(ii) Valid Certificate showing Prizes won in competitions held at National Level by Concerned Academy / recognized by Government

iii) Selection Procedure
Syllabus for CBT/ Written Test:
For the above recruitment, the Questions will be objective type with multiple choices and are likely to include:-
a) Mathematics:
Number system, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportions, Percentage, Mensuration, Time and work, Time and distance, Simple and Compound interest, Profit and Loss, Elementary Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics etc.

b) General Intelligence and Reasoning:
Analogies, Completion of Number and Alphabetical Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical Operations, Similarities and Differences, Relationships, Analytical Reasoning, Syllogism, jumbling, Venn diagrams, Puzzle, Data Sufficiency, Statement – Conclusion, Statement – Courses of Action, Decision Making, Maps, Interpretation of Graphs etc.

c) General Awareness:
Current Events of national and International Importance, Games and Sports, Art and Culture of India, Indian Literature, Monuments and Places of India, General Science and Life Science (up to 10th CBSE), History of India and Freedom struggle, Physical, Social and Economic Geography of India and World, Indian Polity and Governance – constitution and political system, General Scientific and Technological Developments including space and Nuclear Program of India, UN
and other Important World Organizations, Environmental Issues Concerning India and World at Large, Basics of Computers and Computer Applications, Common Abbreviations, Transport Systems in India, Indian Economy, Famous Personalities of India and World, Flagship Government Programs, Flora and Fauna of India, Important Government and Public Sector Organizations of India etc.

d) General Knowledge on Cultural Activities/Cultural Area:
Knowledge of various Ragas
Knowledge of Harmonium,
Knowledge of Tabla Tal,
Knowledge of various Musical Instruments,
Knowledge of various dance forms.

Scouts & Guides Quota Jobs
i) Type of Job Offered & Edu. :
a) Level 2 : Grade Pay Rs. 1900- in Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200
Education Qualification:
Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent Examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate, from govt. recognized Education Board/council/Institution etc.
50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC, ST, ESM and PWD candidates and candidates having higher qualification from UGC recognized University.
OR
10th pass from recognized Board Plus Act Apprenticeship/ITI approved by NCVT (Diploma in Engineering is not considered as an alternative higher qualification).
2. Scouting/Guiding Qualification

a) Level 1 : Grade Pay Rs. 1800- in Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200
Education Qualification:
10th pass from g o v e r n m e n t recognized Board
OR
10th pass from government recognized Board + ITI/Act Apprenticeship approved by NCVT
2. Scouting/Guiding Qualification

SCOUTING/GUIDING QUALIFICATION (FOR BOTH CATEGORIES) :
In addition to Essential Qualifications mentioned at para 3.0, the following qualification of Scouts & Guides
will be applicable for both Level-2 and Level-1 posts (7th CPC):
a) A President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any secti
b) Should have been an active member of Scout Organization for the last 5 yea The ‘Certificate of
Activeness’should be as per Annexure – ‘VIII’.
c) Should have attended two events at National level OR All Indian Railways’ level AND two events at State Level.
