RRB, SSC, States & PSU exams books for Engineers
Generally, no. of questions can be varied exam-wise. The time given Per question will be 30-40 sec. For illustration purposes, I have considered 100 question patterns of a total of 100 marks in all types of Graduate & Diploma Exams. Every exam has two-part.
Non-Technical (Common to all) – Mathematical Aptitude -20 to 30 questions (numerical based on class 9,10 & 11), General Knowledge (10-15 questions), Current Affairs, English & some local knowledge-based questions. For example, RRB Chennai can ask some questions on the Tamilnadu state. (10-15 questions).
The most important part of any exam is the Mathematical Aptitude & General Science paper. Normally Technical portion is good for every examinee. But their speed to solve mathematical aptitude, General Science & English is different. So, there is more need to stress on the above-said papers.
Technical Question ( 50-60 questions) – It is purely based on the syllabus of the 1st year of the Engineering course. Questions are based on Basic Mech.Engg., Basic Electrical Engg., Basic Electronics and Mass of Solid or Strength of Material.
Here I have mentioned the name of some book & their purchase link. Some books are common to all branches of engineering students. But some are specific to the concerned branches. The below-mentioned books are just advice for you.
