Here I am mentioning about job in Indian Railway through Sports & Cultural Quota. The recruitment process is done by RRC.

 

You get posting in Group-c. For example, i have taken brief details of recently published vacancies from RRC Ahmedabad for cultural quota in 2016 & RRC Hajipur for sports quota in 2016.

 

I agree that these are older vacancies. Here my motto is to inform you about the recruitment pattern & basic eligibility. Means if you want to get a job , then go for certificates & qualification desired for these jobs in advance.

 

The number of posts, Types of sports & cultural activities may vary each RRC wise.

Recruitment against cultural quota in North Central Railway

Essential Qualification:-The Candidate should have a minimum qualification of Intermediate or its equivalent examination passed from any recognized Board with 50% marks or less than 50% in case of SC/ST/Ex-servicemen.

 

  • Having degree/diploma certificate in a specified stream from Government recognized institution for regarding the applied vacancy.

 

Desirable Qualifications::-

  • Experience in the field and performances were given on AIR/ Doordarshan etc.
  • Prizes won at the national level

 

Age:-Between 18 to 29 years

 

Pay Scale:-Rs.5200-20200, Grade Pay-1900/2000 with D.A, H.R.A, Travelling, Medical, and other allowances

 

Mode of Selection:-Written test-it will be objective type): 50 Marks. Assessment of talent in the relevant field on the basis of

  • Practical demonstration:-35 Marks
  • Testimonials/Prizes etc:-15 Marks

 

Name of Post:-Suitable or as per available vacancy in Group-C post. if posted as Clerk Cum Typist have to acquire typing skill within a period of 2 years from the date of appointment at the speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi.

 

Nature of Job:-Selected candidates will be utilized by the administration for arranging activities/events etc. whenever the need arises and they will also continue to perform the duties of the posts on which they shall be posted.

 

The Selected candidates can be posted anywhere & on any posts as per administrative requirements

Recruitment against sports quota in East Central Railway

Essential Qualification:-In G.P-Rs. 1900/2000 – The Candidate should have the minimum qualification of 12th Pass or equivalent or higher education from recognized Board.

  • In G.P- Rs. 2400- Intermediate in Science with Maths & Physics (If recruited in Technician Grade)
  • In G.P- Rs.2800 – Graduation or equivalent

 

Minimum norms for recruitment of sports persons in Group C category:-

Category-A: Olympic Games (Senior Category),

Category-B:

  • World Cup (Junior/Senior Category), World Championship (Junior/Senior Category), Asian Games (Senior Category) Commonwealth Games (Senior Category)

Category-C:

  • Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior Category) Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category) South Asian Federation (SAF) Games (Senior Category) USIC (World Railways) Championships (Senior Category)

 

Sportsperson who has any of the following sports achievement in team or individual event in the games mentioned above, may apply for the post in different Grade Pay:-

  • For the postin PB-1 (5200-20200), &G.P Rs. 2400/2800:- (i) Represented the country in Olympic Games (Category-A) OR (ii)At least 3rd position in any of the Category- B Championship/events.
  • For the post in PB-1 (5200-20200). & G.P- Rs.1900/2000:-(i) Represented the country in any of the Category- B Championship/events. OR (ii) At least 3rd position in any of the Category- C Championship/events. OR (iii) At least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/ Junior National Championship OR(iv) At least 3rd position in National Games organized under the aegis of Indian Olympic Association. OR (v) At least 3rd position in All India Inter-University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities. OR (vi) 1st position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).

 

Age:-Between 18 to 25 years.

 

Pay Scale:-Rs.5200-20200, Grade Pay-1900/2000 & 2400/2800 with D.A, H.R.A, Travelling, Medical, and other allowances.

 

Mode of Selection:-Selection will be based on performance in the trial, evaluation of Sports achievements, evaluation of educational Achievements etc. as per rule/instruction of Railway administration. Only the candidates declared FIT in the Trial will be considered for next stage of selection. No marks shall be given to the candidates who declared UNFIT in the Trial for their sports achievements, etc. No communication shall be entertained from candidates in this regard.

 

Recruitment against scout & guides quota in North Central Railway

Essential Qualification:- For G.P Rs. 1900 :- 12th or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate.

 

For G.P Rs. 1800 :- Matriculation or its equivalent with ITI in relevant trade (Recognized by SC VT, NCVT).

 

Minimum norms for recruitment of SCOUT & GUIDES persons in Group -C & ‘D’ category:-Scouting Qualifications: President Scout/ Guide/ Rover/ Ranger or Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section.

  • Should have been an active member of a Scouts Organisation for the last 05 years. The “certificate of activeness” should be as per Annexure-B in this notification.
  • Should have attended two events at National Level or All Indian Railway’s Level and two events at State Level.

 

Mode of Selection for recruitment of SCOUT & GUIDES persons in Group ‘C’& ‘D’ category:-(A) WRITTEN TEST :

  • The written test will consist of 40 objective questions(40 marks) & 01 essay type question (10 marks) relating to Scouts & Guides Organisation and its activities and General knowledge for Grade Pay Rs. 1900/- and Grade Pay Rs.1800/–50 marks
  • Scouting Skill Assessment to assess the practical ability of the candidates –10 marks

1. Participation/Service rendered in National Events/National Jamboree(including All Indian Railway Events): –07 marks

  • First two certificates (i.e. minimum eligibility qualification) –NIL
  • One additional event –07 marks
  • Two or more additional events –10 marks

2. Participation/Service rendered in State Events/Rallies: –10 marks

  • First two certificates (i.e. minimum eligibility qualification) –NIL
  • One additional event –07 marks
  • Two or more additional events –10 marks
  • Specialized Scouts/Guides Course organized at National/State/All Indian Railways Level: –10 marks
  • One Course –07 Marks
  • Two or more certificates –10 marks

3. Participation in District Rallies: –07 marks

  • One certificate –NIL
  • Two certificates –07 marks
  • Three certificates –10 marks
